Black equity and inclusion
Guided by the Sankofa principle, this curated collection of learning products is anchored by a teaching and learning framework that is built on four pillars: social transformation, Afrocentrism (an approach that recentres the perspectives, knowledge systems, and experiences of people of African descent), experiential learning, and a trauma-informed approach.
Developed in collaboration with members of Black employee networks and Black communities, this learning path aligns with the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, Canadian Human Rights Act , Canada's Black Justice Strategy, Changing Systems, Transforming Lives: Canada's Anti-Racism Strategy 2024-2028, the Clerk's Call to Action on Anti-Racism, Equity, and Inclusion in the Federal Public Service, and the Canada Labour Code.
