Building and maintaining a strong data foundation is essential for the public service to deliver results for Canadians efficiently and responsively, especially with the rapid advancement of technology and artificial intelligence. By assessing data maturity, departments and agencies can identify gaps, track progress, and benchmark their journey towards becoming the digitally enabled, data-driven government that meets the evolving expectations of Canadians.
Hosted by the GC Data Community, this event will explore how the United Kingdom and Australian public services are assessing data maturity within and across their government organizations, highlighting lessons learned and approaches relevant to the Canadian context.
Participants will gain insights into organizational data maturity from an international perspective and learn how these lessons can shape the Government of Canada’s approach to data maturity.
