Ray Edwards recently retired from the role of Associate Assistant Deputy Minister for Spectrum and Telecommunications and Chief Equity and Inclusion Officer at Innovation Science and Economic Canada. Drawing on a distinguished career with over two decades in senior executive roles, Ray brings a depth of real-world experience that bridges strategy, leadership development, and organizational transformation.
Ray has led several large complex organizations through growth, restructuring, and cultural renewal. His expertise spans policy and program development, legislative and regulatory development, service modernisation and cross-sector collaboration, enabling his teams to navigate challenges with clarity and confidence.
A passionate advocate for equity, diversity, and inclusion has worked to address systemic barriers in workplace practices and culture. He also worked with a number of organizations across government to embed equity-informed leadership practices and support leaders in building environments that enable all individuals to thrive.
Ray is a certified Executive Coach accredited with the International Coaching Federation. He holds a degree in Biology and Genetics.
In his downtime Ray is an avid cyclist, world traveller, enjoys playing the saxophone, and spending time with his four grandkids.
